During the working process of equipment, there are two ways can settle the problem that the ring clearance of rotary kiln is small. First method is repairing the rotary kiln and changing the wheel belts, plate, tug and so on. Another method is increasing the ring clearance through the adjustment of supporting device. The first method can guarantee higher accuracy and longer life of rotary kiln. But the maintenance cost is about 400 million and the repair time is long. Although the second method is impossible to restore the device to the design requirements, it can ensure the normal operation of equipment to meet the production needs. The cost of this method is low and the maintenance time is short. Therefore, we generally use the second method.
After the long operation time of rotary kiln, the surface of its internal gear will inevitably wear out. If we adjust the top clearance of rotary kiln to 9 mm which is theoretical value in the cooling state, it will not only cause the increasing of the tooth gap, but also leading the unstable operation of rotary kiln. Therefore, we should adjust a supporting device to ensure that the size of the gear tooth top clearance is maintained at about 7 mm. After that, we can adjust the other support devices.
During the normal production of rotary kiln, we should track the condition of supporting device and always pay attention to the thermal state of rotary kiln. After the continuous production of three days and nights, we should appropriately adjust the weighted supporting device to ensure the equilibrium state of entire rotary kiln.
After the comprehensive adjustment of supporting device of the rotary kiln, the rotary kiln operation is quite smooth, the current run is normal, and there is no impact sound. The connection block between speed reducer and pinion wheel has no breakage phenomenon. The steady operation of rotary kiln can up to four years. The operating effect is very good.
