Française Dryer drum is an ordinary drying device and has wide application in the mining industry. It is divided into dryer drum and indirect heat transfer drum dryer.

The flue gas is the drying media of dryer drum. The drying room and the feeding port of the concurrent dryer drum are in the same direction. The movement direction of the hot flow and the materials are the same. The wet material moves from the feeding port to the discharging port. The hot air does the same. The wet material will be dried during this process.
To the reverse-flow rotary drum, the wet material will enters into the drying machine from feeding port. The drying room is near the discharging port which is in the other direction. The material and the drying media (hot air) are doing reverse movement. During this process, the material will be dried.
When the wet material enters into the drying machine, it will be connect with the drying media. At the beginning, the driving force of this process is large. But with the increasing of the material temperature, the temperature of the drying media will be reducing. So, this machine is suitable for the material that the drying demand is not high. The discharging material with the low temperature is convenient to the transport process. From the view of dust, the fine material will be easily bringing away by the airflow, so the dust content is high.
During the drying process of the reverse-flow dryer drum, the driving power is even. It is suitable for the material that has high drying requirement. The dust content in the airflow is little. The selection of the drying method should depend on the drying requirement of the wet material.
