When roll crusher crushes materials, roll surface will be gradually abraded, so we must make sure that materials evenly go into the crusher along the direction of roller stretching. If the material feeding is uneven, annular groove will appear on the roller surface which can result in the abnormal operation of crusher and uneven product granularity. The feeder not only requires even and continuous feeding, but its length must be in line with the length of the roller.

When roller crusher crushes materials, its surface often has wear and tear, so it needs regular maintenance. Sometimes grinding wheel is installed on the rack of smooth roll crusher, and when there is a pit or trench on roller surface, the roller surface can be crushed and repaired on the machine without taking down roller surface or directly on the roller surface, which needs to install surfacing device on crusher. Sometimes automatic roller shaft device that can do reciprocating motion is installed on the smooth roll crusher, which can ensure the even crushing of roller surface.

When crusher teeth abrade to a certain degree, it must be replaced or repaired, lest the product granularity is uneven, power consumption increases and productivity decreases.

After roller surface is worn, the discharging mouth will increase, so the movable roll needs to be adjusted. The two rollers need to keep parallel with each other, avoiding skew. The movable roll is installed on the rocker arm or double roll crusher with hydraulic compensation device. When the mobile roll moves, the parallel of axis of two rollers will be automatically ensured.

To guarantee the normal work of roll crusher, we often need to check the lubrication of the bearing. Sliding bearing usually uses oil cup to fuel up or is regularly injected with thin oil by a worker, while rolling bearing needs to regularly injecting dry oil for lubrication and seal.
