1. Introduction to the Sand Washer

Sand washer is the washing equipment for artificial sand. Sand washer is widely applied in the sand field, mines, building material, transportation, chemical,water conservancy and concrete mixing plant to wash the materials. Sand washer can be divided into two kinds：XS type and XL type. It is able to cover the impurities in the surface of sand, meanwhile, it also damages the water vapor layer.

Sand washer, also called stone washing machine, is mainly applied to remove the dust in the sand. Due to the fact that water washing method is usually adopted, so it is also called sand wheel sand washer. On account of its mechanical sand, therefore, it is also called stone washing machine. Due to its different appearance and principle, it is also called spiral sand washer, rattler sand washer and vibration sand washer.

2. Working Principle of Sand Washing Machine

When the Sand Washer works, the motor drives the impellers slowly after the v-belts, deceleration machine and gears slow down. The sandstone gets into the washing trough through the feeding trough and rotates and then will be ground driven by the impellers. The impurities on the surface and the water vapor coated layer enveloping the sandstone will be removed for dehydration; and when added water, it will form a strong water flow. The impurities and the foreign matters of small proportion overflow from the port, achieving cleaning effect. The clean sand will be taken away by the impellers and poured into the discharge chute.

4. China Sand Washers

In terms of technology strength, most of the domestic ore dressing machines are in the imitation stage, so the independent innovation ability should be strengthened timely. Compared with the developed countries in Europe, China sand washers still lag behind. In terms of product structure, due to the limited technology abilities, China sand washer are still not perfect in product structure and not various in size. It is difficult for most sand washer manufacturers to compete with the foreign countries.
